Team Story

SpinVector has been created by a team of Italian talents who accumulated experience and awards abroad before coming back to Italy to start-up a new experience of creativity and technology.
The shareholders have a combined experience of more than thrirty years in the fields of computer-graphics, programming and videogame development.
They met in 1995 at the Software Engineering faculty of the University of Naples, where they founded the demogroup "DeathStar" with other students. In 1997 they won an international prize with the famous demo "Claudia" (1st place at Mekka/Symposium in Germany). Since then, they developed their hi-tech profile with the partnership, the support or the contribution of world-class brands like Intel, NVIDIA and Compaq.
The technology originally developed with the endorsement of DEC and Compaq was presented at the "Imagina 1997" international show in Monte Carlo and then at SMAU 1997 in Milan.
In 1998 they moved to Paris to work with Zetha gameZ and to develop new 3D tehcnologies to use in the "DroneZ" line of products.
It's in this context that the team gets in touch with NVIDIA and Intel and their revolutionary hardware allowing to optimize the developed 3D technology to take full advantage of the most powerful nVidia GPUs and Intel CPUs. That's why the team's productions have been used as flagship products for the launch of the GeForce 3 and the 2GHz Pentium 4 and presented in many international trade shows (E3, ECTS, GDC, etc.).
SpinVector starts up in 2001, when the team moves back to Italy and start to develop a new, extended version of DroneZ tagged "XL" for Xbox and PC, completing the three-products series of DroneZ.
Then teh Company starts working in other areas, applying the powerful software technology developed for the video games to other fields like museum-installations and popular science: in this latter field the partnership with the renown physicist Paco Lanciano brings a creative propulsion to get new products to life.
In 2006, SpinVector develops a new technology for Augmented Reality - an AR hologram visor: it is now possible, using a comfortable visor, to interact in real time with virtual elements appearing in the material environment surrounding the user.
The fusion of Material and Virtual Reality takes place thanks to an exclusive combination of hardware and software entirely designed by SpinVector and realized in partnership with important international companies.
SpinVector's research tends to mix material and virtual elements in a totally interactive augmented experience, just like in the most appealing science fiction.
